Acceptable Use Policy

This policy protects FitmentOS, our customers, and the broader commerce ecosystem by defining prohibited uses of our services.

Effective date: August 20, 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy applies to all access to and use of the FitmentOS website, software, APIs, integrations, documentation, and related services. It forms part of the FitmentOS Terms of Service and any agreement that incorporates it.

You may not use FitmentOS to:

  • Violate applicable laws, regulations, court orders, sanctions, or the rights of others.
  • Promote, facilitate, or participate in fraud, deception, theft, or other unlawful conduct.
  • Upload, sell, distribute, or facilitate goods, content, or services that are unlawful or that you are not authorized to provide.
  • Harass, threaten, exploit, or cause material harm to any person or organization.

You may not:

  • Introduce malware, ransomware, malicious code, or other harmful material.
  • Probe, scan, or test a system for vulnerabilities without prior written authorization.
  • Bypass access controls, rate limits, authentication, usage restrictions, or security measures.
  • Access another customer’s account, systems, or data without authorization.
  • Interfere with, overload, disrupt, or degrade the services or any connected network.
  • Use the services to conduct denial-of-service attacks, credential attacks, phishing, or security exploitation.

You may not:

  • Collect, process, or disclose personal information without the notices, rights, and permissions required by law.
  • Submit sensitive data unless your agreement with FitmentOS expressly permits it and appropriate safeguards are in place.
  • Send spam, unsolicited bulk communications, or deceptive messages.
  • Misrepresent message origin, impersonate another person or organization, or use misleading account information.
  • Use customer, order, fitment, inventory, or integration data for purposes you are not authorized to perform.

You may not:

  • Use FitmentOS to violate the terms or policies of a connected marketplace, carrier, storefront, or other third-party service.
  • Publish materially false, misleading, infringing, or unauthorized product or fitment information.
  • Manipulate listings, reviews, rankings, pricing, inventory, fulfillment, or transactions through deceptive practices.
  • Use automated methods that exceed documented limits or place unreasonable load on FitmentOS or connected services.
  • Resell, sublicense, or provide unauthorized third-party access to the services.

You may not use the services to copy, store, distribute, or publish content that infringes intellectual property, privacy, publicity, confidentiality, or other proprietary rights. You must have all rights necessary for data and content you submit.

We may investigate suspected violations and remove or restrict access to content, integrations, or accounts when reasonably necessary to protect the services, customers, or third parties. Where appropriate, we may ask you to remedy a violation before taking action.

We may suspend or terminate access for violations, urgent security risks, legal requirements, or conduct that could materially harm FitmentOS or others. We may also report suspected unlawful activity to appropriate authorities as permitted by law.

We may update this policy as our services and risks evolve. We will post the revised policy here and update the effective date. Material changes will apply prospectively, with additional notice when required.
