Mark Orders as Shipped

Marking an order as shipped finalizes the outbound event and updates downstream reporting, customer notifications, and channel status.

What should already be true

  • A valid tracking number exists
  • Package details are complete
  • The shipment physically left the station or dock
  • Any backordered lines are handled correctly

Finalization checklist

  • Confirm the shipped quantity matches the carton
  • Save tracking and carrier details
  • Trigger the channel update or notification
  • Verify inventory reduction posted correctly

After shipment

  • Monitor failed shipment exports
  • Review late-day manifests against shipped orders
  • Reopen only with supervisor approval
