Mark Orders as Shipped
Marking an order as shipped finalizes the outbound event and updates downstream reporting, customer notifications, and channel status.
What should already be true
- A valid tracking number exists
- Package details are complete
- The shipment physically left the station or dock
- Any backordered lines are handled correctly
Finalization checklist
- Confirm the shipped quantity matches the carton
- Save tracking and carrier details
- Trigger the channel update or notification
- Verify inventory reduction posted correctly
After shipment
- Monitor failed shipment exports
- Review late-day manifests against shipped orders
- Reopen only with supervisor approval
