Put-away Process

Put-away moves newly received inventory from staging into active storage so it becomes available for normal warehouse work.

Standard put-away flow

• Confirm received quantity is accepted
• Assign or confirm the destination location
• Move the stock physically to the bin
• Scan location and item to complete the move
• Verify inventory is available in the new location

Put-away controls

• Keep staging lanes organized by receipt
• Do not mix damaged and sellable stock
• Escalate missing location labels immediately
• Review overflow storage before using temporary bins
